Tabriz bazaar
With about one square kilometer, Tabriz Grand Bazaar is the largest complex of interconnected roofed bazaars globally. Furthermore, this market is one of the masterpieces of Persian architectures and a UNESCO heritage site. Therefore, the Bazaar of Tabriz is one of the top Tabriz attractions that you must visit. It is noteworthy that this market has 6500 stores, 11 corridors, and 25 Timcheh (small Caravanserai).
According to some historians, the current bazaar of Tabriz belongs to the late Zandieh and the Qajar era. This market is in Tabriz city center and extends from the east to the Ali Qapu Palaces and west to Jame Mosque. Also, the north side of the Tabriz bazaar reaches the Mehranrood River. The river separates the two parts of the bazaar, which are connected by wooden bridges.

El Goli Park
El Goli Park is one of the most prominent Tabriz points of interest and the most important recreational complex in the city. Moreover, this site, located in the southeast of the city, is an example of Tabriz natural attractions.
Furthermore, like other ancient Persian gardens, El Goli Complex consists of a pool, a mansion, and an area full of trees. Still, its pool is vast, and the palace is built in the middle of it. Azerbaijan Museum

Kabood Mosque (Blue Mosque)
Kabood Mosque, also called the Blue Mosque, Shah Jahan Mosque, and Mozaffarie Mosque, is one of the main Tabriz attractions. This monument was constructed in 1466 during the Kara Koyunlu era by the order of Sultan Jahan Shah. It is called the Blue Mosque because of the use of blue tiles in its design. Moreover, due to its majestic tile-works in geometrical patterns and beautiful azure lines, it is also called the Turquoise of Islam. Unfortunately, Blue Mosque was damaged vastly in an earthquake in 1779, and only the entrance hall has remained. Although only small parts of its artistic decoration have remained, the high quality of the works is apparent.

Arg of Tabriz (Alishah Arg)
Arg of Tabriz (Tabriz Citadel) is a huge brick edifice that belongs to the Ilkhanate era in 1316. As the monument was constructed under the command of Al-Din Alishah Gilani, an Ilkhanate minister, it is also called Alishah Arg or Arg-e Alishah. However, what remains od this monument is only three tall walls of southern Iwan. The most important feature of Alishah Citadel that distinguishes it from other Tabriz attractions is its large brick arch, which is more extensive than Taq Kasra. Accordingly, the span width of the arch is 30 meters, with the 26 meters high walls. Please note that even if this tourist attraction is closed, you can see it from outside.

Kandovan (Iran’s Cappadocia)
Kandovan ancient rocky village located 62 km southwest of Tabriz is one of the top Iran villages. The amazing rocky architecture of Kandovan Village is the result of the unity of nature and human. On the one hand, the volcanic activities, wind, snow and rain has formed these astounding cliffs. And on the other hand, the inhabitants carved their residences in the cliffs and decorated them with colourful glasses. It is interesting to know that Kandovan resembles the magnificent Cappadocia in Turkey. A lot of people think that Cappadocia is unique, but Kandovan is another rocky village in that kind. Finally, due to the cold mountainous climate, the best time to visit Kandovan village is in the summer, when the weather is pleasant.

Ostad Shahriar Museum
Mohammad-Hossein Behjat Tabrizi, known as Shahriar, was a great Iranian poet who lived from 1906 till 1988. He was also a calligrapher and talented in playing the Setar (a traditional music instrument). If you are interested in literature and poetry, this museum is one of the Tabriz points of interest that you will enjoy visiting. Tabriz Municipality Palace (Sa'at Tower or Clock Tower)
Sa’at Tower (Clock Tower), also known as Tabriz Municipality Palace, is the municipal government’s head office in Tabriz. This structure was built in 1925 based on a German-style. Saat Tower stands in Saat Square (Clock Square), which belongs to the same period. The beautiful night lighting and various celebrations and ceremonies held in this square have made it a popular Tabriz point of interest.
The most prominent feature of Saat Tower is an antique clock on the top of the tower. Also, a museum called the Municipal Museum or the City Museum of Tabriz is inside the building. Accordingly, the museum includes historical maps of old Tabriz, the golden key of Tabriz, the first Tabriz taxi cars, the first movie projector, old cameras, and more. Besides, there is a Carpet Hall in the museum where you can see the collection of Tabriz rugs.
Notably, if you do not get enough time to visit the City Museum of Tabriz, you can go to Saat Square and enjoy the Tabriz Municipality Palace’s outside view.

Constitution House of Tabriz (Khaneh Mashrouteh)
The Constitution House of Tabriz, also known as Khaneh Mashrouteh, is a historic house located in the vicinity of Tabriz Grand Bazaar. This charming courtyard house is one of the famous Tabriz attractions dates back to about 150 years ago during the Qajar era. Also, as this edifice was the gathering place of the constitutional revolutionary leaders, today is the symbol of the constitutional revolution and fighting despotism. Besides, Khaneh Mashroute is precious in terms of architecture and decorations. Accordingly, the house’s most attractive section is a skylight and corridor decorated with beautiful mirrors colorful glasses.
Moreover, the building houses a museum where you can see the sculptures of Iranian constitution revolutionaries, the old weapons, published newspapers of the revolution, the old printing machine, and photos of the revolution. It is interesting to know that one of the building rooms is the exhibition of the woman’s role in the constitution revolution.

Saint Stepanos Monastery
The Saint Stepanos Monastery, also known in Armenian as Maghardavank, is the second most important Armenian monastery situated in East Azerbaijan Province. To be more precise, this old church stands 15 km northwest of the city of Jolfa in a canyon in the vicinity of Aras River and the border between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan. This monastery that dates back to the 17th century has been registered as one of the Iran UNESCO Sites. The architecture of this unique edifice is a combination of the Roman, Parthian, Armenian, and Urartu styles and makes it distinguished from other monuments in Iran.
The carved stones on the outer walls, the cylindrical building with the cone-shaped dome, a fortress with seven towers, and the paintings using in interior decoration make this church a must-see Iran attraction. Also, the beautiful landscape surrounding the building is picturesque.
